Shailene has been a popular American actress and activist. She rose to fame with her performance as Alexandra King the teen girl suffering from addiction - in The Descendants. Following her awe-inspiring performance in The Descendants, she came to the stage with a variety of other roles which showed her capability to play difficult roles with ease. Shailene secured a prominent position very early in her career in film. This is in itself amazing feat. The path she took began by appearing in TV commercials and shows, but she soon moved to Hollywood film roles. Her talents as an actor have brought her many awards including MTV Movie Awards. People's Choice Awards. as well as Teen Choice Awards. She has also been nominated for various other prestigious awards, such as BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Awards as well as Primetime Emmy Awards. The organization was awarded the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award as co-founder of All it Takes at the Global Green Environmental Awards' 20th anniversary in 2016.
